How long, oh how long, will You hide your self from me,

My eyes long to see Your never-changing face.

How long must I fight with my thoughts and every day,

And have sorrow in my heart!

Oh I thirst , yes I thirst for Your never-ending streams,

My heart yearns for You even in the night.

Give light to my eyes or I will sleep in death,

And my enemies overcome me.

I trust, yes I trust in Your unfailing love,

My heart rejoices in your never-changing grace.

You look upon me Lord, and You see me from on high,

You are my Love, my God!
